We turned a routine diabetes task into a moment worth celebrating. For people living with diabetes, changing their Omnipod insulin pump is a familiar, sometimes tedious, ritual. But on social media, these site changes have become a way for Podders to connect and share. So, we took that insight and created a cultural moment they could truly own.
Partnering with music creator Andrew Huang and Podder advocate Lexie Peterson, we captured the real sounds of an Omnipod site change and remixed them into “The Pod Drop”—a celebratory track designed to make changing your Pod feel less like a chore and more like a party. The track launched across Andrew and Lexie’s social channels, with Podders everywhere dancing, sharing, and celebrating their site changes.
The song is now available on all major streaming platforms and social media, giving the diabetes community an anthem that’s uniquely theirs. Proof that when you start with a real insight, you can make something bigger than a moment. You can make a movement.
